285kW Solar System for National Cricket Centre Albion

At the beginning of 2024, Hembrows partnered with Solar Choice to install a 285kW system for Cricket Australia as part of a shared solar initiative with Cricket for Climate. Many of the components were donated by One Stop Warehouse (OSW), Longi and Solis to bring to life Cricket’s vision to create an environmental and economic impact on the broader scale.

Work commenced in January right in the middle of cricket season, but our experienced solar team got the job done in time for the Gabba test!  The system will generate enough clean, low-cost solar electricity to reduce the building running costs by around $50,000 per annum, and $1m over the life of the system. The system is also now a registered solar power station with the Clean Energy Regulator, one of more than 10 operated by Hembrows in Australia.
