Air Conditioning Filters: Cleaned VS Not Cleaned
While the summer days get hotter our air conditioners start working over time to keep our homes and offices cool. During the warmer months 69% of Australian households use their AC more than any other time of the year.
As we are constantly using our AC throughout summer it is important that they are working as efficiently as possible to ensure we are maximising the amount of cool air they produce. One of the best ways to do this is to clean the filters regularly.
The two photos below show the difference between a clean filter and a filter that isn’t regularly cleaned.
Not cleaning your AC filters can lead to more dust in the air and it also puts a strain on the system as the fan has to work much harder to push out the cool air.
By cleaning your filters you will not only have less allergens but it will help keep the system healthy and working at the highest efficiency possible.
Cleaning your systems filters is easy and as simple as removing the filter and carefully vacuuming it. This should be done every 6 months unless the system is used more frequently, then cleaning should be more frequent.
